The most common TikTok scams
1. Fake TikTok support
A message warns that your account will be suspended and invites you to click a link to "verify your identity." The site mimics TikTok and steals your login details.
2. Fake giveaway / prize
"Congratulations, you've won an iPhone 16!" — you just need to pay a small delivery fee or provide your details. The prize doesn't exist.
3. Fake creator course
You're promised quick income as an influencer, but first you must buy a course, kit, or subscription. The content is often empty and the promises false.
4. Fake TikTok Shop store
Ads offer products at prices that are too low. Payment is taken outside TikTok Shop or on a cloned site. Money is debited, the order never arrives.
5. Quick crypto investment
A creator or comment directs you to an investment platform. You deposit money, the displayed balance grows, but withdrawal is blocked by "fees."

The common thread: a quick promise, a fear (suspended account, blocked package), or an unexpected win. Real TikTok will never ask for your password by message.
Warning signs
- An account contacts you claiming to be TikTok support and asks for your password.
- You get a direct message saying you've won an iPhone or big prize, even though you never entered.
- You're offered paid content creator training or equipment, but you must pay first.
- A link looks like tiktok.com but has a typo or extra suffix (tiktok-support.net, tiktok-verification.co).
- A TikTok Shop ad sells a product at a price that's too good to be true and redirects to an external payment site.
